Ten low-cost ways to pamper yourself


I have a physical weekend job that leaves me tired and achy on Monday. I came up with these 10 easy ways to pamper myself today (you can use them too):
1. Look in the mirror and tell yourself “I love you” and “you’re a great person”.
2. Soak your feet in warm water with Epson salts. Then, dry your feet and smooth on scented lotion while giving yourself a gentle foot massage.
3. Get a manicure and a pedicure. Don’t worry about the appearance of your hands and feet, you deserve a treat!
4. Get a haircut; consider changing your current hairstyle.
5. Listen to meditation tapes in your car or while doing chores at home.
6. Make time for reading a good book daily. Browse the interesting titles at a local bookstore or get one from your local library.
7. Write in a journal daily. Buy a fancy hard-bound journal or buy a journaling software program. Writing allows you to release pent-up feelings. Look back at what you wrote later and you may view situations in a new light.
8. Buy yourself a plant or a bouquet of cut flowers.
9. Do something creative: write a short story, poem or sketch a drawing.
10. Make time to do something fun with family members or a loved one.
